How to Choose the Right Color Palette for Your Home

Begin with fixed elements - flooring, countertops, and large furniture - then build wall and accent colors around them.
Use the 60-30-10 rule: a dominant neutral, a secondary tone, and a restrained accent for depth.
Test samples at different times of day; north-facing rooms read cooler, south-facing warmer.
Repeat accent colors in art, cushions, or joinery so the scheme feels intentional, not accidental.
